Changing buses and lines can be a bit confusing if you’re not familiar with the city and its stations. Buses usually move every 5 to 10 minutes so you won’t have to wait a long time in queues. 

    Bus Routes 

    There are two ways to take the bus to Explorers Hotel. You can take bus number 38 from Gare Du Nord to Porte De Villette, and from Porte De Villette you can take metro line 7 to station Porte De Pantin Station. From there it’s a 10-minute walk to the Explorers hotel. 

    You can also take bus line 248 from Gare Du Nord till you reach Porte De Pantin and then change to bus line 45 which will take you directly to the Rue Curial Stop, which is right beside the hotel. 

    Bus rates 

    When it comes to bus rates, you will find bus line 38 for €2 single ticket and metro line 7 for €1.90 making it a total of €3.90. If you’ll take bus line 248 it will be for €2, and bus line 45 also for €2, making it a total of €4 for the whole trip. 

    Train From Gare Du Nord to Explorers Hotel

    The third option to get to the explorer’s hotel from Gare Du Nord is taking the train. As we mentioned, the bus can be a bit of a hassle to get to your destination, which is why we believe the train is the second best option in case you don’t want to take a taxi. 

    Train Details 

    The train offers a relatively fast journey as it will take 30-45 minutes. However, to ensure a smooth and hassle-free trip, validate your ticket at the yellow machines before boarding the RER B. Validating the ticket will allow you to avoid any fines on the tickets. 

    Train Routes 

    To get to your desired destination by train you will have to head to the platform serving RER B from Gare Du Nord and take the train heading south. When you reach Anotoy station, you will have to change to Tram 9 and then get off at Orly Sud or Orly Quest Stop. From this stop, you will find your hotel only 10 minutes away if you decide to walk, or you can take bus 45 and get off at Rue Curial stop. 

    Train Rates 

    When it comes to train rates, you can get a single ticket for RER B for €8.80 to €17.10 depending on which zone you’ll get off. Then for Tram 9, you’ll get a ticket for €1.90. Making it a total of €10.70 to €19 for one way. And in case you’ll take the bus to your hotel, you’ll pay €2 for the bus.
